Aashima Sinha
Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Utah
I was born and raised in India and moved to the U.S. in 2018. My research interests revolve around the fields of Feminist Economics, Development Economics, Labor Economics, Applied Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics. I have a passion for conducting policy-oriented research and teaching economics with a focus on socio-economic inequalities.
Besides work, I love cooking and playing piano. Four years in Utah have made me grow fonder of hikes and nature photography. I regularly engage in social work and collaborate with non-profit organizations to contribute towards the development of less-privileged sections of society.
